Privacy at PieceID.

Readiness checks happen on your device.

Before you opt into Review Pilot, PieceID reads selected file type, size and pixel dimensions in your browser. Those local checks measure evidence coverage and technical readability. They do not upload image bytes, inspect visual content or make an authenticity decision.

Refreshing or closing the page clears the local working case. Local export files are created by your browser and are not saved by PieceID.

Review Pilot is an explicit, private upload.

A complete eight-view case can be submitted only after you confirm that you have the right to share the images and consent to private pilot storage. The service stores the image bytes in private object storage and stores structured case metadata such as category, claimed house and model, review context, view label, filename, media type, dimensions, technical-readability flag and timestamps in its database.

Review Pilot intake does not guarantee expert assignment, response time, authenticity opinion or certificate. Do not include faces, addresses, payment details, government identifiers or unrelated personal material in photographs.

A separate optional checkbox allows de-identified evidence and eventual reviewer outcomes to be used for PieceID research and future model improvement. It is off by default. Declining it does not block pilot submission.

The private link is the access control.

After submission, PieceID creates a random access key. Only a one-way hash of that key is stored in the case database. The full key remains in the # fragment of the status link, which browsers do not include in the initial page request; the page sends it to the protected same-origin API only when opening or deleting that case.

PieceID has no account recovery for Review Pilot. Anyone who receives the complete link can inspect the case metadata or permanently delete the case and its stored photos. Keep it private. Cases include a 30-day access-expiry timestamp for pilot lifecycle control; users should use the deletion control earlier when the record is no longer needed.

Community features use limited persistent data.

Guide reactions, notes and the Complaint Center store submitted text, category and timestamps. A secure functional cookie assigns a random browser identifier; the server stores a one-way hash with submissions to enforce limits and support complaint resolution controls. Public complaint and reply content remains public until removed under applicable rules or the feature is retired.

Privacy-limited analytics and ordinary hosting data.

PieceID uses Google Analytics measurement ID G-Q29BWC95BW for aggregate page measurement with IP-anonymization and advertising-personalization signals disabled in its configuration. Infrastructure providers also process ordinary delivery and security data such as IP address, request time, path and device/browser information.

PieceID does not install advertising pixels and does not use browser local storage or session storage for its own product state. The community cookie is functional rather than cross-site advertising tracking.
